PAYMENT POLICY:
Payment for private lessons is required AT or BEFORE the time of service. Please remember that there is a travel surcharge.
You can pay using credit card, Paypal or cash.
- If you pay by credit card or Paypal, your payment is required IN ADVANCE for a four (4) lesson set.
- If you pay using cash, you can use the pay-as-you-go method. Please try to have exact change.
NO-SHOW POLICY:
You are a "no-show" if you miss a lesson without cancelling it in a timely manner. If I arrive at your home and no one answers the door, I will wait for 10 minutes before leaving for my other appointments. Note that if you are wearing a headset while practicing, you may not hear the doorbell or phone. Please be aware of your lesson time. An additional no-show will result in the full lesson fee being billed to your account.
I am a "no-show" if I miss a lesson that you believe you scheduled. If you do not receive a reminder for a lesson that you are expecting on a particular day, please call me immediately to confirm. I live in eternal fear of technical problems with my auto-scheduler!
CANCELLATION POLICY:
Cancellation of a Lesson:
Please make any cancellations with as much advance notice as possible if you are unable to attend your lesson as scheduled. This allows me to reallocate the time to someone else.

If you do not reach me, please leave a detailed voicemail including your FULL NAME AND PHONE NUMBER. If you have a preferred date/time for rescheduling your appointment, please be sure to leave that information, too. Please DO NOT send a text message for cancellations.
Cancellations Because of Weather Conditions:
I usually follow the school-closings schedule for severe weather conditions. If the weather is looking questionable, I will call to confirm whether I will be arriving as scheduled for your lesson. Note that, if the schools are closed in your town and the weather remains the same or is getting worse, this usually means that I will need to cancel and reschedule your lesson.
Cancellations because of Illness:
If your child misses school on their lesson day because of illness, please call to cancel their lesson! If cancelling a lesson because of illness, be sure to allow ample notification time, as I do not check calls while driving.
LATE ARRIVAL POLICY:
If I am late for your lesson due to weather or traffic conditions, I will extend your lesson for the appropriate amount of time if both of our schedules permit. If our schedules do not permit this adjustment, we will "bank" this time to use later.
If you are late for your lesson, I will need to end your lesson at its normally-scheduled ending time because of scheduling commitments. If our schedules permit an adjustment, we will "bank" this time to use later.
OTHER INFORMATION:
"Be Prepared" Policy:
Please ensure that your child is ready for their lesson. They should be dressed and fed at least 15 minutes before their lesson time so that they have time to collect their wits for optimum learning.
"No-Child-Left-Unsupervised" Policy:
I cannot be responsible for other children in the household while you run errands or pick children up from other activities. If you decide to leave the household anyway and you do not return by the end of your child's lesson, this will result in ONE OR MORE FULL LESSON FEES being billed to your account.
